We mainly operate from June to October and offer the same three main tours during that period — the Wild North Coast, the Secrets of the West Coast, and the Fisherman’s Route Tour. That said, we may occasionally run special or themed tours depending on sea conditions or local events, so keep an eye out or feel free to ask us what’s coming up!
We offer two types of boats, depending on the tour you choose. For the Wild North Coast and Secrets of the West Coast tours, we use high-performance speed boats — fast, stable, and built for a thrilling yet comfortable ride along São Miguel’s most dramatic coastlines.
For the Fisherman's Route Tour, you’ll board a traditional fishing boat guided by a local fisherman — a slower-paced, authentic experience focused on local culture, sea life, and real fishing spots.
No need to choose the boat yourself — just select your tour and travel date, and we’ll take care of the rest!
There are no restrooms on board our speed boats or the traditional fishing boat, so we strongly recommend using the facilities at our base in Rabo de Peixe before departure. They’re clean, convenient, and just steps from the dock. It’s always best to plan ahead for comfort!
Our tours operate daily, weather permitting. The Wild North Coast Tour runs in the morning, while the Secrets of the West Coast Tour and the Fisherman’s Route Tour usually take place in the afternoon.
Exact departure and check-in times will be provided in your booking confirmation. The Fisherman’s Route Tour lasts up to 2 hours, while the other tours last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication before the tour and choosing a morning departure when the sea is typically calmer. Staying hydrated and sitting closer to the center of the boat can also help.
Yes, we provide high-quality life vests for all passengers, and wearing them is mandatory throughout the tour for your safety.
We recommend bringing a dry bag or waterproof case for your phone. Some splashing is possible, especially on windier days. Small dry storage may be available on board — ask our team when boarding.
Yes! Light rain is common in São Miguel and part of the adventure. You’ll likely get wet from rain or sea spray — come prepared and embrace it!

If we need to cancel your tour for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund automatically — no action required on your end. We’ll also do our best to reschedule your experience, and you’ll be notified by email with all the details.
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. We recommend travel insurance for extra peace of mind.
